In honour of the Angry Video Game Nerds reviews of the Castlevania marathon I decided to start my own marathon of playing as many of the games in the series as I can get. So far I have access in some way to almost all the 2D games, except for the ones on the DS and PSP, the ones on the Nintendo 64 and the two 3D titles for the PS2. I managed to track down copies of the PS2 games and I wanna know from Castlevania fans if they're worth spending money on? I can pick them both up for less than 15 dollars each.

I've been described as everything from a sweet, caring person to a cold hearted bitch. I have it all down pact. My life is a constant disaster, but I wouldn't be happy if it were any other way. Sarcasm is a language in itself. I can make friends with anyone.. but normally I don't keep people around for long. My standards are impossibly high.

I have an Associates in Computer Information Technology last December. I got my first "big girl job", then I was laid off after a few months. Went through a time of unemployment--obtained a job at a bank, hated it.. and now I'm working at a doctor's office as receptionist. I don't get paid nearly enough, but what the hell, it's better than being broke.

I've just recently moved in with my boyfriend of almost four years. We have a great relationship, yadda yadda blah blah blah. Who cares about that, I know.

I tend to bring up topics that nobody wants to talk about. That leads to arguments. And that leads to me wondering what the hell this world is coming to when people get so damn offended over what others think and feel.

Anyway. If you really care to know more about the Adventures in Robynland, add me. I love comments, and I love to get to know other people through their journals.

The end.
Hello, my name is Sawyer Morgan and I am on this site looking for some new friends. I live in northern South Carolina and I am very interesting person. Let's see, here's a few things about me:

I enjoy writing enormously. I write all sorts of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. I will take suggestions of pieces of work if you are willing to give them. I am currently working on a book.
I enjoy most things that can be done with a paint brush, I say I paint abstractly because I really have no concept of reality in my pictures and can draw some really cute comics.
I am spunky, sarcastic, and inquisitive with a very big procrastination problem. And I only have this problem when dealing with personal matter, if it's a deadline at work or a paper that's due, I can normally finish it the day its assigned. But a talk with a friend about emotional things, I normally am a week late and a dollar short.
In music I adore all sorts of things. Indie/alternative to rock to techno to classical. Almost all music is good to me. Almost. I can connect to the emotions in music and normally have some sort of music playing at any point in time.
I am a closet lesbian, and I am confident no one will recognize me on here. I'm a picky lesbian, too. Don't think that if you're a girl and add me I will instantly start hitting on you. I am rarely the one to make the first move. My orientation is a secret to the majority of my friends and family, with only a few knowing. None of my family knows.
I love to sing opera.
I may be quirky, but I mean the best. I am very honest, I normally offend people at one point in knowing me.
If you want to be friends, please add. I rarely add anyone firsthand.
Thank you and have a pleasant evening.

The name's Katherine. :]

Hello hello, my name is Laura. I'm 23 years old and I'm from Toronto, Canada. I won't be living in Ontario for much longer though as I'm fleeing the country for a year to live in New Zealand and maybe Australia. Right now my life is pretty boring as I'm in full financial lockdown saving every penny for my trip and working, but I love to read peoples entries and comment. A lot of my likes and interests are in my info, but a few things I'm into at the moment are: Supernatural, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Bored to Death, Russell Brand, Flight of the Conchords and comedy in general. Feel free to add me!

Hi, I'm 29... currently living in Launceston, Tasmania. I'm a long time user of LJ but have just restarted anew with this journal. I'm married and currently studying Nursing. I mainly babble about my day to day stuff, I'm not terribly exciting but enjoy reading about others. I love 80s/90s music, movies, animals, cooking and my favourite tv show is Heroes. I'm pretty laid back,..so feel free to add me no matter the age/gender/religion etc.

State Job

  • Nov. 14th, 2009 at 1:21 AM
Just curious.. does anybody here work for the state? I recently applied for a State job and was completely surprised as far as how fast their response was. My application was "Verified" within 4 days and not even a week later, they sent me a letter saying I am invited to take a written examination. I thought they would be super slow as far as responding to applicants, since they probably get tons of applications just like any employment place nowadays...

Just wanted to hear anyone's thoughts or opinions for those who have a state job or know of someone who does.

Thanks in advance! :-)

My name is Lisa. I am a 19 years old. I'm 6 feet tall, and my mother tells me I have child-bearing hips. I hate when people say I should be a model.

I'm a freshman in college majoring in special education and hoping to figure out a minor soon. I'm already $19,000 dollars in debt, but I don't mind. Money is not important to me when it comes to important decisions. I've been told I follow my heart too much, but is that really such a bad thing?

I enjoy music a lot, although I'm not a snob about it like some people can be. I don't judge by music, but I like people who are into the same bands as me. I also like Studio Ghibli films, playing video games, being anti-social, taking naps, swooning over attractive people, laughing, giraffes, drinking, goldfishies, my family, and.. other stuff.

Oh, and here's a picture.

I would like to make new friends. A lot of my current ones.. stopped posting. Since I have no life, I'm on here a lot.
I'd really appreciate trying to have new friendships. :D

I guess I should write a bit more about myself this time around.

I'm a twenty year old white chick. I'm currently reading Death in Venice but kind of wanting to play the Sims 3 instead. I grew up in the country but I moved to Montreal for school four years ago. I never want to leave. I'm not sure that listing a bunch of my likes and dislikes will entice you add me because I don't really talk about like, tv shows and my favorite foods in my journal. I mostly write about my day-to-day life. I don't suffer from any sort of disorder like some people proudly proclaim to, but I'm definitely neurotic. I try to examine my life from every angle. I don't really write about that, though. I like to yell in caps sometimes. I also swear like a sailor, so don't be easily offended by that.

I read voraciously. I'm more of a homebody than anyone I know, but I don't really get along with my family. My real passion is music, but I can't play. I don't have any artistic skills at all, really, and that bugs the hell out of me.

Okay, none of this is relevant, but I honestly have no idea what to talk about. Look at my profile because it can probably sell me better than I can here.

Comment somewhere before adding, please, either here or on my FO entry.

Dragon Age

  • Nov. 13th, 2009 at 4:53 PM
Hey gamers, what platform do you think is best for running Dragon Age? I've got a PC, 360, and PS3 so any of those are options for me. I'd guess that PC is best and it looks like from the wikipedia article that the PS3 version is better graphically than the 360 version but more glitchy (no surprise there or either account). Before I go by it for my PC, though, I wanted to double check with you all.

Edit: Thanks all, will go for the PC version :)

360 Hard Drive Error... Please Help!

  • Nov. 12th, 2009 at 7:30 PM
Just got my Xbox360, finally! But I have this problem with it pulling the hard drive error. If the box is standing up it is fine, but if the box is started lying on its side than it gives me the error code. Is there a fix for this or do I have to send it back? Get a new hard drive? Anyone else have this problem?
